A little about Consent Ed
Consent Ed was started by a group of passionate students, and it has expanded significantly since our inception. Today, we offer presentations to groups of all sizes on campus, engaging fellow students in honest discussions about consent and teaching bystander intervention skills that individuals can use to ensure the safety of others. We hope to bring change and awareness to Cornell University's campus.
In Fall 2018, a new presentation was developed and piloted to first-year students. Our Ambassadors attend engaging training sessions and shadow other members to be able to perform such presentations. We are also excited for the implementation of more advocacy initiatives in the greater Ithaca and Tompkins County area, as well as more fundraisers with partner organizations in support of meaningful causes.
Through our Ambassadorship program, all members are trained to be facilitators within their own organizations throughout the Cornell community. Our Ambassadors come from all types of communities across campus ranging from Co-ops, pre-professional organizations, ROTC, Tri-Council, sports teams, fine arts and performance groups and many more! We are no longer requiring applications to become an ambassador! Please see the Join Us tab for more information.
